Hackers take control

ex hacker Jacques Erasmus from the security firm Prevx takes control of a computer by infecting it with a trojan

This allows him to view whatever is on the victim's screen & record all of his key strokes.

Jacques Erasmus' company downloaded the trojan for research purposes.

The trojan & bank accounts used in this video are real.

The 'victim' in this attack gave permission for his laptop to be infected for the filming.

Unless you have taken the right precautions, your computer could be a sitting target for cyber criminals intent on remote-controlling it for their own ends.

The BBC has acquired control of 22,000 home computers as part of an investigation into hi-tech crime.

Click's Spencer Kelly talks to Jacques Erasmus from Prevx about how hackers use these hijacked machines to send out millions of spam messages.
